The JumpFly team has recently created JumpFly Cares, the new quarterly program at JumpFly designed to raise money and awareness for causes that matter to JumpFly employees. Each quarter, JumpFly staff members are encouraged to submit their preferred charity into a drawing from which three charities are randomly chosen. The three JumpFlyers whose causes are chosen, then create and present a short, five-minute information session on their charity that includes what staff will be expected to do in order to support their cause. After the presentations, JumpFly employees vote on which charity they wish to support for that quarter. The chosen charity for Q1 2019 is Oscar Mike, an Illinois charity that provides funding for injured United States veterans to stay on-the-move.
In order to support this worthy cause for the first quarter of 2019, JumpFly staff have been asked to purchase a red shirt or other red item from the Oscar Mike website. In addition to purchasing the red shirt, JumpFlyers will be wearing red on Fridays to support the R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) movement. R.E.D. Friday is an Oscar Mike created campaign to show solidarity and support for our troops. Red symbolizes the blood spilled by the brave men and women of the United States Military and is a reminder of their sacrifice. R.E.D. Fridays are not intended as a political statement, just a nice way for Americans to show they support the brave men and women that serve our country.
